  1. Rf, your rule above seems excellent – allows for her to express herself but not do permanent damage. Anything more strict could backfire and kids need limits so it seems you’ve developed the perfect balance.

  2. Yeah, long hair for boys wasn’t allowed at our high school. Remember a big fuss involving lawyers letters etc when one kid got suspended (about 1990ish).

    JB, I once had a wave perm for my hair so that it could make my stiff hair more managable and have that wavy look in the front.

  4. No I did not, Dona. I was there when she did it and although I cringed when they washed off the dye stuff, it’s still her under the crowning glory. It’s just hair! (my mantra)

    You’re too kind, M4L – I don’t get highlights, I dye the whole thing for grey coverage. The ladies in my family go early.
