  1. Best cheap bullshit I ever saw…one episode of House Hunters a couple looked at a home that was in foreclosure. Prior owner sawed off a large piece of granite from the kitchen counter tops and took it with him. Ha! One episode of My First Place, a couple looked at a house where the A.C. unit outside was stolen…thieves left only the metal housing and a couple coils on the ground. LOL

  2. “Designed for an area rug in the middle of the room. Really cheap bullcrap in an otherwise super nice house where no expense had been spared in construction. ”

lmao – that’s some cheap bullshit

  3. The walk-through is for stuff like the following:

When we bought our place in CT, every time we looked at the place there were area rugs in the living room, which appeared to have a really nice hardwood floor. We didn’t roll up the rugs when we looked at the house or during the inspection. When we got to the walk-through and they had removed the rugs it turned out there simply was no wood floor in the area covered by the rug. It had been built with a 10 x 15 ish rectangle that was just plywood covered with carpet backer. Designed for an area rug in the middle of the room. Really cheap bullcrap in an otherwise super nice house where no expense had been spared in construction.

We ended up closing through it anyways, after trying our best to get a $10k price reduction and the sellers walking out in a rage.

  4. Snappy, I went to Mott Street Optical and was very happy with the prices and service. You can borrow Mrs C if you need someone to negotiate in Chinese. I’m sure M4L would be happy to do it as well…for a price (brownies, perhaps?)
