My new next door neighbor is an artist. He builds large sculptures in his back yard. His wife was asking us today if it’s OK if he’s out there sawing and welding and stuff, which of course is totally fine with us.
“The Emperor addressed the people of Japan. This is unprecedented.”
Not true, dave. Emperor Hirohito addressed the people in August 1945 when announcing the unconditional surrender of the Empire of Japan, saying, “We must endure the unendurable.” Hard liners in the military tried to prevent it. For most Japanese, it was the first time they’d heard the Emperor’s voice.
DH- did you find a place?
Congratulations, Lech.
i really need to stop looking at apartments on craigslist 3 months before i’m gonna move. it’s torture!
haha jackal – that’s awesome. your neighbor sounds cool. but if he’s really an artist, why isn’t he 22 and living in bushwick?!?!
haha bxgrl – moonface was making me crabby for a while but i’ve decided to embrace it!

Dh- I think he’s going to be wearing those awful golfing chinos and a polo shirt. In yellow and navy.
I have an idea- how about we all don’t stop calling white folk from anywhere not NYC “moonface?” It’s getting tired. And making me crabby.
If had an orange tie, I would wear it tomorrow.
