Benson, yesterday’s FT had an article about the effect of the earthquake on supply chains for certain goods, particularly electronics. It talked about how optimizing components of a supply chain on a micro level (i.e. the best possible collection of a company’s suppliers of product parts) could completely break down on a macro level, if there is an ‘event’ to disrupt one part of the chain. It goes on to say that other disasters of this sort have completely broken down certain products manufacturing processes when one component’s sourcing is disrupted.
no – just seeing good stuff popping up that i’m not able to move in on. good sign, as i guess inventory goes up in the summer (but hopefully not price :-\)
Lech – congrats – that’s awesome!
DH – you should really be looking at Streeteasy for legit apartments, not craiglist
Dona – I have it narrowed down between DIBS land in Bed Stuy or Ditmas Park.
Kens has been showing me around down in DP and I’m diggin it. Gonna spend more time in BS once it gets warmer.
if going to chase geese, please cull them hue-monly and dispose of them properly. Like up in westchester or somewhere.

Yeah CGar, really annoying.

It’s really competitive, which is why I usually just use brokers rather than being led around on a wild no-fee goose chase.
DH, what neighborhoods are you considering?

I used to love St. Patrick’s Day. Now I want to hide until it is over.
DH, I seem to recall having to look about a month before I was ready to move. Very annoying for planning purposes.
