i was reading earlier that in japanese culture they tried to hide all of their faults to others. they lock away their criminals (well i guess we do too) and hide and throw anyone into an insane asylum who might be the slightest bit eccentric. the elderly if they are not cared for by their family (which they usually are) are locked underground in weird facilities, etc. children who test stupid in school are led into criminal sects sanctioned by the government, etc.? sounds crazy, but probably a little bit true.. the whole thing is so sad and yeah i feel like i’ve not really seen a blip much about it, totally off my radar, which is fucked up.

oh yea, im not a tv hater or anything, but TV news is all about nothing but the histrionics. just think back to the non stop coverage about our CRIPPPPPPPLING BLIZZARDS this last winter :-/ if anyone anywhere else in the world was watching our local news coverage maybe we coulda got some mad ass cash out of it in aid cuz it made it look like we were all gone die!
