denton — organic doesn’t mean Little House on the Prairie food. It tells you what you can count on not being in the food, like what kinds of fertilizers, pesticides and hormones will not be used. That’s it. It doesn’t mean more nutritious and it doesn’t mean more homespun. I admit it is crazy when people attribute more to it and think they are paying for something more than what organic really means.
Strawberries are in the yogurt, by the way, they were just squeezed for the juice, first, not used whole. Still strawberry and still organic, if raised that way. It’s teh same with any non-organic smooth yogurt — the juice and not the whole fruit is used. You wouldn’t expect grinds in coffee yogurt, or rind in lemon yogurt, whether or not organic. Organic applesauce still is organic and still uses apples, even though they’ve been peeled, cooked and mashed.
Should I read you all the ingredient list on the back of the Similac Formula I just received as a freebie in the mail?
1st ingredient – CORN SYRUP! – good god!
