Gem, I remember my sister complaining to me in the last stages of one of her pregnancies — “I can’t see my feet, I can’t tie my shoes..” It was summer in Florida and she was also HOT. Before you know it, you will have a beautiful baby.
M4L, there is a funky building which needs a lot of work, but a brownstone in Fort Greene, which I have eyed for a while, now for sale. It is on Clermont, between Lafayette and DeKalb which is a very nice block. It is one of those places….you know….living on the edge, the owner I think hasn’t paid taxes, probably has had it some time. It is on the west side of the street mid-block, probably an 18 footer. When I go by it, I’ll check the number, but you will recognize it — there is a sign and the facade needs work. I saw it and thought of you. Maybe you can get it cheap.
Gem, can I recommend a book.
While I was preggo, I really didn’t read much about it and was so turned off by all the books out there about pregnancy.
That said. I did want a book about child development. A friend got me:
The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby from Birth to Age Two – Dr. Sears.
It’s a wonderful book. I’ve read it thru and refer to it constantly. It covers EVERYTHING. Anything you want to know it’s in there. You’re baby won’t burp, there’s different suggestions. Baby can’t sleep, it covers it. It’s a wealth of knowledge.
“Can I get a high five?”
I always thought high fiving was immature. It’s what teenagers do. It’s goofy.
