OK, let’s play a game that I’ll call “Chomsky says…. so what?” It goes like this.
You explain one of Chomsky’s theories.
I say, “so what?”
And then the conversation pretty much ends because there’s never any real response. He just points out stuff like how unfair everything is and how the US uses its power to do all kinds of stuff, and blah blah blah. So what?
It’s similar to a couple of other games I like to play called “Marx says….. so what?” and “My freshman feminist theory professor says….. so what?”
Cobble, the gathering is March 11, not tomorrow night.
WAIT…THE GATHERING IS TOMORROW???? Why was I thinking next week???
Not tomorrow, dummy, the 11th
Thanks, Biff. It was the elephant in the room – no one wanting to ask but everyone wanting to know.
It’s tomorrow night, Arkady.
Make that “their” support. I must still be hungover from the other night.
Arkady, next week’s gathering is at Montero’s on Friday night. I assume people will start showing up after 6.

Have we settled when next week’s get-together is? Is it also lech’s farewell? (Is Noam Chomsky going to be our surprise guest?)
