  1. Rob, don’t you have a bank account? Why do you buy money orders? I saw a sign on the check cashing place at 4th Ave. and 8th St. (I think, just down from the subway, maybe 10th St.) that their money orders are something like $.15 on Sundays.

  2. etson it’s just because nyc, brooklyn in particular, has become so filled with over the top and absurd “white-white” people. the kinds of white people who’s ancestors were probably dirty pilgrims or something, that’s why. and you are not a white-white person so i dont see why you should get offended by it. pasty doesn’t necessarily =/= moonface. seems like harmless jokes tho.. and since they are only kinds of people it’s okay to make fun of these days, why not?

  3. DCB, yep, same guidelines. when there’s a juicy oppty, swoop in and grab as much you as can. failed taking over but grabbed enough to be a successful outcome. I dont believe in being able to make money all the time but rather that when something juicy appears, shove hard and milk it for all it’s worth then chill and wait for the next oppty

rob, where they Chinese and selling bus tickets to Atlantic City????

no this place is usually filled with people in line wearing sweatpants with questionable stains on them, little mexican dudes wiring money (i think?), people buying phone cards, cashing checks, etc. pretty much society’s unbankables. why i am always in these kinds of places is beyond me!

  5. Observation from other threads:
Why is being ‘white’ used as an insult so much on the board recently? (e.g. ‘white people food’ mentioned in one thread and ‘scared white people’ on the Prime bar thread just today).

I’m not insulted by it, but it’s getting old. Have no problem with non-white people, but certainly not ashamed that I am white, and don’t see why others would be.

  6. I’m having trouble with spaces in Philly. I thought i found one last week but already rented. Philly is very small compared to all of Brooklyn. Traffic is key…no one LIVES where they work and not enough foot traffic for 2 dayparts.

  7. Senator Herb Kohl, a Wisconsin Democrat (of course) is proposing to establish an Office of Elder Justice within the DOJ.

Do these Democrats know no end to bigger government???????
