A friend of mine who works in public health pointed out that the billboard is pouring salt into the wound given that Planned Parenthood has recently lost funding.
Rob – nope, never lived in the PJ’s
but what I can say is this – sometimes people “non-chalant/cavalier” attitude is usually to hide the true feelings going on inside…
As a parent, I don’t think there’s more to worry about, just more worrying–when I was a kid, when my parents got sick of thinking about us, they sent us outside to play. Now we worry. I do think it’s a good thing that I have much more of an informative relationship with my daughter (15 next month) than I had with my parents at this age. Not that she tells me everything but she tells me some, and I like to think I can read between the lines to figure out most of the rest.
Gem, most kids are resilient. All parents make mistakes, but you always have another chance (well at least the first 99 times or so).
I think this country will finally be proven bias-free when we have a half Black half Mexican female President who is bisexual and raises alpacas. JMHO 🙂
and please, no big long soliliquey’s telling me my opinions are not valid. aint in the mood for hearing it today, i know what i know and see fit saying so.
Gem, I understand the sobbing. Being a parent these days has to be harder than it was for our parents. Seems like there is so much more to worry about.

“sounds like youve never lived in the projects OR the trailer park. there’s a lot of real life shit that is taken lightly…unfortunately”
Maybe it is not taken lightly. The outward appearance of taking things lighly, could be a coping mechanism.

Oh right. I forgot you are the world’s expert on projects and trailer parks, etc.
