  1. I think the billboard was timed to coincide with the proposed funding cuts for Planned Parenthood.

By planting a seed of doubt, it will make at least some people less likely to write their congressperson a letter or send PP a check.

My hope is that it backfires and makes people realize how real the fight is.

  2. quote:
Maybe it is not taken lightly. The outward appearance of taking things lighly, could be a coping mechanism.

very true, but actions are real and tangible. motivations behind them and internal dialogue with ones actions is a slippery slope that often is irrelevant to any being outside the person’s head.

it’s like i dont care WHY you shit out your baby in the bathroom toilet and then went back into your prom to dance, people really only care THAT you did it. motive is irrelevant which is why our legal system is so convoluted, over saturated, and ridiculous.

  3. what does everyone think about the “Freakanomics” theory that easy access to abortions for lower class people is what caused the decrease in crime in the 90s (and today, presumably) ??

  4. “As a parent, I don’t think there’s more to worry about, just more worrying”

    I totally agree with this.
In all honesty raising my son (currently 9) has not been easy, but it has certainly not been the perilous minefield that many media sources would have you believe.
