No one is denying that profiling on race exists and has been an ongoing issue.
I’m stating the reality that the NYPD is rapidly evolving as is our entire society,
that it will certainly NOT help matters for my son to hang out with his friends one day dressed up as a “cholo”
and that we ALL have a part in this society.

I can add to BSM’s post. My ex and I were stopped by cops several times for no discernable reason. Neither of us dressed like thugs.Cops would drive by and stare at us as we walked down the street too.
