Actually, Biff broke the coffee table top while vacuuming. He went to Bear, which supplies a lot of the glass places, but it didn’t go at all smoothly, so you may want to try another place. Here’s his recent Forum post:
that’s cool donatella. i would probably do the same thing as you if i ever had the good fortune to buy a brownstone. the ones with all original everything look amazing, but i wouldn’t necessarily want to live in one.

I added historic fireplaces(you’ve seen them at Home Depot, just plug right into closest wall socket), ripped out original floors which were in crappy shape and recreated them, complete with designs in walnut and mahoghany(that is color name of her wall-to-wall carpeting). I put in a lot of light.(bought a dozen votive candles)
I couldn’t pull that link up, DH. I have hybrid taste in these historic houses. I pick and choose what I want to keep. I have all the molding, I added historic fireplaces, ripped out original floors which were in crappy shape and recreated them, complete with designs in walnut and mahoghany. I put in a lot of light. I like a feeling of light and space. I don’t like dark interiors.
Denton, are you out there? I don’t think we ever established whether you can get me some dynamite for my beaver problem.
