I love the Chinatown produce markets.
It’s not worth the trip just to go to them, but if I’m in the neighborhood I often make a stop before heading home.
I am a big fan of Dim Sum, although I have not had it in quite a while. I’ve been several times to a dump on Doyers street that had great food at ridiculously low prices. Last time I went, they were closed for “remodeling”. I would not be surprised if it were really due to failing a health inspection.
it is the variety of vegetables you find in chinatown that not going to find in own neighborhood. if walked home from work – chinatown would be on the way. save on train fare and vegetables, etc.
“if walked home from work – chinatown would be on the way”
Only an idiot would walk home to Brooklyn via Chinatown, especially in this cold.
jinx etson
Actually, when you add in a trip I took up there last month the score is now officially:
Beaver: 2
Jackal: 0
I’m starting to feel like that character played by that actor in Caddyshack.
Jackal = Bill Murray in Caddyshack.
Last night on House, he asked if some woman headmaster of a school had sand in her vagina.
