benson, it sucks with MIL situation but dont let that take away from the killer promotion man – bask in that glory and make yourself some Manhattans
Here. Here! I echo those sentiments!
Separately, I have known people in the oil industry – Americans and Europeans – who had a good life working as engineers, traders etc. in Baharain. It’s been an accomodating environment for trade and business for them and others. It is stunning to see authorities shooting demonstrators with live ammo there – 50 people have been shot in the street.
“I’ve seen people run themselves into the ground trying to take care of a person with dementia.”
Exactly, I’ve been there, done that. And I’m doing it again now! You’ve got to get yourself and your wife informed on what’s possible and available. And get yourselves out from under the weight and worry. Especially if you are going to be away traveling and this is mainly going to fall to your wife to cope with!
Remarkably, most surprisingly, your MIL may respond BETTER to an outside person than she does to you or your lovely wife. I’ve seen it, it’s amazing/fascinating.
Iowa High School Wrestler Defaults Rather Than Contest Female
Feb. 18 (Bloomberg) — An Iowa high school wrestler gave up his chance to become a state champion when he refused to try to pin a female contender.
Joel Northrup, a sophomore and 112-pound contestant in the state wrestling tournament, said he didn’t think it was appropriate for girls and boys to wrestle. He was slated to go to the mat with Cassy Herkelman (20-13), the state’s first female state qualifier.
“As a matter of conscience and my faith, I do not believe it is appropriate for a boy to engage a girl in this manner,â€
Northrup said in a statement released yesterday by Scott Mahmens, athletics director at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa. “It is unfortunate that I have been placed in a situation not seen in most other high school sports in Iowa.â€
Northrup (35-4), a sophomore who is home-schooled by his mother and his minister father and wrestles on the Linn-Mar team, defaulted on the match, which allows him to enter the consolation round.
CGar, there were two members of the lunch club who were knowledgeable about swinger clubs and sex parties. I have already said too much though. If I said any more I would be kicked out of the club.
jackal and dave, kindly see Legion’s 12:04 post about *rob* joining the Peace Corps.
Dave, I think I understand now – even if you could convince a guy to flip, there’s some things you just can’t talk yourself into.
cool dibs – and if i’m not mistaken per se includes service in the cost of the meal, right?
300 per person is a great deal – especially considering $400 bucks of that was wine.
Not to stereotype, but I wouldn’t think a club within which 50% of its membership is gay would have the word “Republican” in its name.
