  1. “why people think that discartographia is so outlandish, it’s basically the same thing.”

Inability to read a map I can understand.
Unwillingness to read step-by-step written directions, not so much.

  2. Dibs, we segued from horrible divorce stories to New York accents, to the weather, to recognition/non-recognition of customer’s faces in bars/coffee shops, to non-recognition of faces as a medical disorder with stuff on baseball, linear algebra, thrown in as well.

  3. Hmmm. *rob* I guess they could be related in that it has to do with organizing spacial information. I am a tiny bit dyslexic which might have something to do with being lefthanded. But I have no problem remembering people’s faces at all. Also, I have a strange ability to recognize people’s voices. With one syllable, I can tell immediately. Another useless skill.

  4. donatella, i have a slight case of it as well. 2.5% of the population does. which is why i dont understand why people think that discartographia is so outlandish, it’s basically the same thing.
