I know that McSorley’s has a fraternity-douchebag reputation, but I’ve been there a dozen times or so and have not really seen it.
Perhaps its because I usually go earlier in the day and almost always with people who have been going there for 20+ years.
It was kind of cool when I was in Louisiana and my grandfather talked about going there during the 3 months he was stationed at the Brooklyn Naval Yard in WWII/
