The point I was making is that it’s highly unlikely that a very rich person’s bank account balance would have many zeroes.
The likelihood that any particular digit in the balance would be zero is 10%. Lower likelihood of two in a row, lower still of three in a row (it doesn’t go down to 1%, .1% etc – there is actually a formula that is used in statistics to solve for this exact situation).
You’re rich if you have $295,300,205.02 in the bank, but there are only 4 zeroes.

Did anyone see the cover-story of National Geographic this month? It is about the hundreds of miles of underground tunnels, quarry roads, sewers, etc, under Paris. The people who explore these tunnels are called cataphiles (people who love the underground). Victor Hugo wrote about these tunnels; and there really is an underground pool under the Paris Opera House (think Phantom of the Opera).

I found out that a part of my family is spoofed on Saturday night live — the Kelly Brothers, thanks to my cousin’s kid. I have to see it. I have seen it in reality and it is off the wall and probably why the OT makes sense to me. (There were 5 of them of all political stripes and saved their discussions of the complex issues of the day for family parties).
In other news, ET and her many namesakes claim she was not posting as CDog (notwithstanding the derogatory remarks about my sex life and about my dating Asian women). I’ll be the first to man up and step up to the plate and apologize to her publicly if I’m wrong. I asked quite a few of you before I accused her, and I read all of the posts, which are in her style. But, if it is someone else, please man up and admit it, and then please knock it off.
