Really rabid rant! So Sunday I spent several hours digging out the van. A very nice neighbor whom I hadn’t met before helped. He broke my chipper (no big deal, it had come w/ the house & was probably 100 yrs old) then bought a new one & used it on my parking spot. Another neighbor came to help shovel. Spot was immaculate! (We went on to help others.)
So today I go out to move for alt side – luckily I started well before the time. Some mother effer had shoveled an entire mountain of ice both in front & behind! Had obviously done it when it was soft but it’s now granite hard. Yet another neighbor whom I’d never met came to my rescue!! thereby renewing my faith in humanity. But. really! I wish I knew who’d done the foul deed.
After alt side I come back to find that a plow had gone down the street & created boulders of unyeilding ice in most of the parking spaces as well as a very intricate slalom course down the middle of the road.
I grabbed one of the few available spots & sat for half an hour to be sure I didn’t get a ticket. While waiting I saw 2 bikers trying to ride down the bike path – also ice-laden. One took a real dive & had to hobble away w/ his bike. The other looked tender but did remount & rode away.
I found $20 in the lobby of our building as I steppped off the elevator.
The effective humorous usage of “mother effer” is always devastatingly funny.

“He broke my chipper”
Nonsense, Arkady, I think you’re just as chipper as ever.
You never know what your pets are up to when you’re away.
Pia is totally above this nonsense…she’s buy napping, as usual.

Your cat posts in the OT. Period. End of discussion.
Don’t try and pin the blame on dave just because you can’t keep your crazy cat away from your keyboard.
I think that’s Dave that posts as Pia. The real Pia would not be caught dead carousing with the likes of you people 😉
