I love Disney! Used to really like getting work there. Space Mtn & Haunted House are my faves. I have a friend whose daughter works at Orlando Park – want me to ask her about how you optimize the trip? There are ways to avoid the worst of the lines.
Epcot is o.k. – not as great IMHO.
The new H. Potter Park is $120. for one day. (Haven’t been yet.)
How is Mickey Mouse even popular? There’s no kid’s show about him is there? From what I’ve heard, all the rides are pop culture based like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Re: jackal @ 2:13. Yes. At the risk of warping the space-time continuum again, I must say I agree 100% with jackal on that one. (I know someone who used to say that, when his kids were born, he bought Disney stock as a hedge.)

I look at it as a sort of mental endurance test.
If I can survive my time there with thousands of screaming children, countless annoying teens and endless waves of annoying parental units,
well then I think I can look back in my old age and say :
“I was there, in the days when one had to actually pay in time, sweat and tears. I was there to sacrifice my sanity for my kids and the wife. Yes gentlemen, let the English have St. Crispin’s day, I will always have Space Mountain!”
