  1. quote:
    cable and a dog walker

oh bite me. my share of the bill for cable / internet / gas & electric / dog walker all combined is about 200 dollars a month. that’s really not so bad.

    *rob*

  2. “Major companies may be reporting good profits,
but it’s small companies and businesses that produce 60 -70% of new jobs.
They’re doing badly in this economic climate.”

That’s very true and unfortunately so much of their success depends on larger corporations. I think it’s a complete trickle down. I didn’t realize how much work is “outsourced” domestically for the sake of efficiency and giving work to companies that are better than yours until a few years ago.

I’ve been on vacation, sick, AND just plain sick of the interwebs. I’ve been in “email and necessary transactions” mode lately.

  3. “All of recorded history, all the accumulated knowledge,
the tribulations and triumphs of mankind are unknown to these people.
They live in a state of pure day to day survival within nature. A visit with them must be like meeting ancestral man from 10,000 BC.”

yeah – it’s really a mindfuck if you think about it. amazing!

  4. “I do not have cell phone, and did not have cable till I got a roomate (she pay’s the cable because she wants it).”

Does she hide the remote when she’s not around so you can’t take advantage? Or are you on a pay-per-view plan with her?
