I didn’t get the wonderfulness of Pulp Fiction, either. Or Resevoir Dogs. Why certain segments of society revere Scarface also baffles me. I didn’t like Training Day, either. Denzel should have won for X, a much better movie.
Biff, you’re missing some good movies. While some sci-fi, comics and fantasy films are awful, there are those that tell a good story well, with great plots, acting and direction.
Let me add The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to my list of faves. I really liked Hairspray, too. It was a lot of fun. In animated films, I love Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Miyasake’s Spirited Away.
Snappy, what cracks me up is the entire apartment is directly out of a 1970’s home decorators manual has 3 items sent from “the future” an Apple computer, an Aeron Chair and a flat screen TV.
Grease is awesome! Any excuse to do the handjive and mention the name “Patty Simcox” 🙂
NO MORE WIRE HANGERS, EVER!!!
Iconic movies I can’t stand
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
It’s a Wonderful Life (cannot describe the hatred I have for that POS)
Easy Rider
Casino (don’t know if it’s iconic, but I have been called a douchebag several times for not liking this one)
Movies so bad that they’re good:
Grease
Mommie Dearest

Rob’s favorite movie:
The Mist
Snark, exactly. They seemed like two distant folks who all of a sudden started doing the horizontal rumba. Ridiculous.
