  1. Charleton Heston was not a good NRA prez. He’s just an actor. The NRA is an active lobbying body with an important mission, much too important to leave to an actor. When my grandfather was prez of the NRA he knew how to do the job a lot better than that Heston guy.

  2. Thanks BHS, dona. I’ll go take a look at those settings now. My friend has been in the hospital for awhile so I know he hasn’t been on his FB account. I should probably ask FB to look into it.

  3. Facebook contacted me and told me that someone was trying to get into my account and it was from a specific location — Orlando. I guess they tell you that when somebody has multiple trys. I don’t know, but I went to Facebook directly after that and changed the password.

My neice had someone copy her picture and pictures and set up a shadow account using all her pictures. That was pretty strange. I don’t know how she dealt with that, but it is fixed now.

  4. etson — Michael Moore actully raised the example of Canada in Bowling for Columbine. That movie is misinterpreted as a standard-fare pro gun control argument. But he asked why does Canada have far less gun violence than we do, with similarly permissive gun laws? Are we just more prone to violence as a society? You can read his movie as arguing that gun control laws are really not the solution. He tried asking Charlton Heston to address the contrast with Canada but heston wouldn’t bite. I’m not sure he understood the question and thought Moore was harassing him from a more standard pro gun control point of view.

[And please, can we not get into a big back and forth about Moore, generally. We’ve done that a bunch of times, already. Try to stick to the topic.]
