  1. In Egypt, Mohamed ElBaradi is the opposition leader, a Nobel Peace Prize Winner, who has just returned to the country. He has campaigned for democracy and against corruption and is the likely candidate.

All the nutjob factions (radical Islamists) there are far too small to be contenders.

The stock market is off 20% from recent high.

  2. I grew up with lots of Okra, because it grew well in Louisiana and was cheap. The rest of the family loved it, and my mom tried to work it into any dish she could.

I hated the smelly slimy stuff, no matter how it was cooked.

The worst was pickled okra. My sister loved it, and would eat it as a snack. The smell was so bad that I could not stand to be in the same room.

I will eat gumbo with okra in it, but I pick out the okra, and I much prefer okra-free gumbo.

  3. Can we talk about the Middle East?
So Egypt is really starting to gain traction in ousting the president, and now Yemen is starting to experience protests and isolated riots…. – who is poised to takeover these countries?
