BoerumHillScott, I went there to the Morgan Library last night for the first time. I wound up paying since I met my friend earlier and their is nowhere to hang out a little while so we paid. We were impressed by the paintings (several by Memling) in the salon room and a Botticelli as well as beautiful carvings. The main library is beautiful and the books of Hours GORGEOUS. We also looked at the room of jewelry, book covers, ancient stamps. The little atrium of mosiacs and marble is beautiful. We had a nice time there.
BHS: Have you been to the Transit Museum? I went last weekend with sisters and kids and niece and nephews. Best value for your dollars with kids in NYC, and if your name is not a lie it’s very close to you.
Following donatella’s and ET’s suggestion, I went to the Morgan Library with my son tonight.
It was an interesting place, but I would have felt ripped off if I had paid $15 to get in.
At free, it was well worth going to.
why do i have major life epiphonies at the wrong time, the wrong place, etc? so annoying. i just figured out why and how im sexually dysfunctional. (read: NOT erectile dysfunctional btw) but where does one go from there? grrr
