Hey have you folks heard of the new
hard liquor being produced here in New York and in Brooklyn?
I was leafing through one of the waiting room men’s magazines and they had an article on things like
Hudson Whiskey
Gin from here in NY
and
even a Brookyn “Moonshine”
DIBS, I know cause you said that before and that angle is dancing in my head. am thinking it shouldn’t be that expense to build something similar. just a matter of how big of a marketing budget is needed to get word out there.
I’m really not looking for another day of politics,
just responding to yesterday’s and today’s post by biff.
It’s the polite thing to do.
Unlike alot of posters here, I do try to read and watch what others post.
I love the rat video on the subway, by the way.
Amazing, all the stuff that’s being caught on video these days while everyone has a camera on them.
I do think that the rat would have eventually tried to take a bite out of that person sleeping. They can chew through concrete you know.
hey biff,
I read the article you posted about the
“left wing media bais”.
The author is not convincing,
in fact, events since 2003 completely destroy his basic contentions.
The author argues that the journalists and broadcasters hired by the major conglomerate media giants don’t have much say in what gets broadcast.
The Dan Rather incident clearly puts that notion to rest,he and his producer Mary Mapes went out of their way to post a damaging story about Bush without verifying the validity of a key component.
Even when outed on that issue, both continued to cling to the story they so vehemently wanted to get out.
The author does allude to studies showing that a significant majority of professional journalists vote Democratic/left but he attempts to dismiss these studies as poorly done and incomplete.
The events since 2003 clearly fly in the face of this idea.
It is well understood that the major media basically took over the 2008 election and pushed a 2 year junior senator from Illinois into the White House. (I’m not trying to kick up a fuss about Obama now, only stating that in 2006 he wasn’t on the radar and by 2008 he was sitting in the White House having defeated not only the “Right Wing Conglomerates” but the even more formidable “Clinton Machine”.
He didn’t do it alone.
If anything Biff, the article is a nice snapshot of a political landscape which has shifted so quickly and completely that we have to be reminded sometimes of how perspectives can alter from day to day with history.

DIBS, how does silverdaddies make money?
I think they make quite a bit. There are just over 200,000 people registered and you can pay for Full Access to all the features…$5 per month $15 per quarter or $50 per year.
If only 10% pay the $50, that’s $1MM per year. i suspect it’s closer to 40% who pay, which would be $4MM per year.
I’ve wanted to rip off the site design and do another type of offering.

“I’ve been pricked so many times I look like a porcupine.”
That doesn’t quite make sense, actually. A pin cushion, maybe, but not a porcupine. Oh, and you seem to be implying some accuracy issues.

There’s no one online on silverdaddies who’s under 40. 🙁
uh… cuz it’s a school day?
*rob*
Speaking of…I ate clam chowder last night.
