My friends — a couple of Brits I befiended in Kansas City — my old colleague and his wife — live in Brisbane. I heard from him last week about the floods. He says their house is on a hill and so have been ok during the floods but it is worse now. I saw on TV that 26 people have been killed there. I hope they are ok.
