Dh- don’t you mean Freedom Fries army uniforms?
and maybe. But I also believe this country is capable of self-correction. That’s what elections are. And we trust the system enough to know that. What I do see is more and more politicians realizing they have to actually answer to their constituents, and I think we will see restrictions being put on Congressional perks and abuses. Eventually we will understand that all the money in the world can’t buy good government. It has to be enacted by good people. Right now we are still in the money can buy everything stage.
yeah – it was over her district (and there were alot more)
doesn’t matter – as someone who aspires for public office, she should probably choose her words more carefully.
sorry – she’s fuckin done. did she cause the guy to do it? probably not. but she probably should have been a little more careful about spouting off her maverick “i’m from alaska and i like to shoot shit” rhetoric
she’s a clown
-wow, I couldn’t have said it better myself – hi from my temp job!
I wouldn’t necessarily flee the country just because I didn’t approve of who was in power (or I would have done that a few elections ago). However, I would flee for certain if they ever went back to a mandatory draft and The Champs were at or close to draft age. Fortunately we all have our Canadian and US citizenships.
Kens- I think it makes you confused, and we aren’t sure what Denton is 😉
Actually, I think it makes you a pragmatist. I don’t vote straight down the line either but its a sad statement when you say (and I agree) that we vote for the lesser of two evils.
I hear you about living in other countries, and I pray that if Palin ever gets in she would be stymied in whatever damage she could do. But the idea of someone of her ineptitude and lack of qualifications as President scares the crap out of me. I can see her presidential facebook page now- with crosshairs on every country she doesn’t like.
think there will be a revolution in the next 50 years?
it’s become more than obvious in the past 5 years that NO ONE in government is actually there representing the people. the system is broke, and they’re trying to fix it by putting band-aids over stab wounds.
actually a civil war in our country would be kinda cool.. it would deflect attention away from us at least and well, a big free for all, riots, looting, etc. i’ve always wanted to loot!!! i was so mad during the blackout of 2003 no in my neighborhood on the lower east side they all wanted to play bongos on the street and shit. booo

“April 12th, we attack Alaska.”
Awesome plan. Attack the furthest, most isolated, least populated state, after crossing a couple thousand miles of arctic tundra.
While you’re away doing that, we’ll take over the lower 48.
You’re welcome to keep Canada as a consolation prize.

it would be nice if there was a revolution but americans are total pussies these days and totally afraid to do anything revolutionary.

“doesn’t matter – we will confuse the other side by throwing books with no pictures at them.”
LOL! DH, don’t be surprised if you’re asked by the other side to explain that joke.
