Jase – Right on! They did that last year too & cars that hadn’t moved weren’t ticketed either – really pissed off the dumbbells like me who moved their cars.
I posted the reports as a counter to the argument that there was no news coverage of issues in New Jersey.
In an earlier post I made a statement that there are plenty of governments/agencies responsible for snow clean up.
I made no comments on how any particular agency or official did.
Now I will make one:
My gut feeling is that Christie had no major direct impact on the clean up efforts, positive or negative.
Snow clean up is primarily a local issue.
Another gut feeling is that for many of the localities that had issues, budget cuts played some role in the response.
However, I feel that the largest amount of the blame for ineffective response across the region goes to the timing of the storm and the speed in which it developed.
The full severity of the storm was not known until Christmas day, when the entire country was effectively shut down.
“What on earth do they have to do with you, Lechacal? You have enough things to focus on between your demanding work, your family, the OT.”
The people who are around you matter. They influence your quality of life.
Example: I kind of enjoy busting on the tofu humpers for the silly things they believe in. It’s actually kind of fun in a twisted way. I would never engage the stepford wives on anything. I just have nothing at all to say to them. Speaking to them has zero interest for me.

The Star-Ledger has the 25th highest circulation in the country. It is just ahead of the Boston Globe, for instance. It is distributed throughout NJ.
