My son never slept in bed with us – we both move around too much. We did the bassinet next to our bed thing for 6 months or so, then moved him to his own room.

I went to catholic school from 2-8 grade.
A world of good that did me.
The greatschools ratings are based entirely on standardized test results.
I don’t think any high schools in NY state are rated because there are state subject tests but no math-and-english standardized tests like they do through grade 8.
Hicksville High School, my alma mater, got 3 community stars out of 5. Brooklyn Tech got 5. PS130 in Chinatown got a 9. Her middle school got an 8.
m4l, if you guys are still looking into Chinatown elementary schools, take a look. 130 and 124 did very well. PS 1 and 2, a little less. But again, it’s only based on test scores.
I found it interesting that my junior high school and high school have a lot fewer students than when I went there.

I’m sure there are a few other people in the city who don’t like the carousel location, but everyone else seems to like it.
While I am not a huge carousel fan, I think it is a good addition for that location.
just looked up ethnic makeup of my high school:
Hispanic 82%
White, not Hispanic 11%
Asian/Pacific Islander 5%
Black, not Hispanic 1%
American Indian/Alaskan Native <1%
