legion- you get to see a lot of unpleasant stuff in a hospital.I saw a lot of truly awful and heartbreaking stuff. Worked on the surgical ward. But I don’t faint at the sight of blood or internal organs (unless its my own). The worst was dealing with the death of patients I had come to know and love- we had some long timers on the ward, including a burn victim. He was in a big cage bed that would keep turning him every so often. He lived to go home but my favorite patient, a wonderful old Irish lady didn’t. I spent the afternoon she died crying my eyes out.
