Well, jester, one accomplishment of mine seems to be that I was the absolute last person to post on Philly brownstoner (although now I imagine y’all are gonna go over there and try to post — it may be closed, but not sure).
I was offline all weekend but I had meant to post a list of all the significant life-changes PLUSAs have gone through (all the ones people have voluntarily self-reported of course) in 2010. There were a lot – significant year for many people.
I’d worked in Reno 4 or 5 times before I ever had any time off. I got into a swimsuit & tore out to the pool – passing through the casino, of course, & thinking, “How lame. All these idiots chained to the slots, etc.” Ran outside into 2 feet of snow! It was also the first time I’d seen daylight there & realized we were in the mountains.

I think immigration is doing a lot of raids these days so Biff is hiding out.
For many, casino gambling is an addiction.

Dona, there is something about the belief in magical thinking that reeks of desperation and hopelessness.
Yes, and outside of the gambling, there is an aesthetic component. It’s just ugly.
Biff’s got a lot going on, so give him a break.
