  1. A city plow came down my street (President Street in Crown Hts) at 2:05 this afternoon. This was the first time my block has been plowed since the snow started. Where I am, there were no stuck cars, double-parked cars, whatsoever and President St is quite wide here.

Another example of Emperor Windbag’s exemplary executive skills!

  2. True L, ‘better’ is a tricky word. Is a Ferrari ‘better’ than a Lambo, or a Genesis ‘better’ than an Acura? Or Westchester ‘better’ than Park Slope? These things can be argued about all day, and usually are.

  3. Sounds like Total Wine Bar.

I took a wine appreciation class at Red White and Bubble and the sommelier claimed rose was the wine of choice among sommeliers for pleasure drinking.

  4. quote:
Rob,were you in the Al Di La wine bar?

ha! definitely not, it was ON 5th avenue, much much more north of there. i dont think al di la was even around at the time i moved here? my first food eating experience here tho was a burger and frie’s at bonnies, which i will say was really really good (i was so used to my burgers and fries from Crown Fried Chicken on 136th street.. so it was a bit of a culture shock). weird, i think that wine bar the first day, and bonnies also that first day, may have been the only two establishments i’ve visited in this area (other than going out drinking at random bars of course). wait, i think i did order a pizza from la villa once. that was pretty good. oh yeah and the bageltique, but that place got annoying really fast.
