Actually, dh, Dave could purchase some natural soaps and beauty products on Lewis Ave, and if he had to shop for women,(perish the thought) maybe drag queens, there are a couple of interesting boutiques on Stuyvesant. There’s a store selling artwork, too. It’s not the Miracle Mile, but you can get more than a 40 and a bag of chips in the hood now. Plus he could give gift certificates to Peaches or Saraghina. These things take time.

As an example, I found a wonderful choice piece on craigslist “Men seeking men” about 3 blocks from me.

I had to accompany my daughter to Target yesterday (since she is that dreaded category, unaccompanied high school student) to do her holiday shopping. Oy! So much better at 8 a.m. when I usually go.
