Thanks, Legion. I didn’t make that link between the Cuban health care and life expectancy but did make the comment about Medical technology and medical tourism. Also, I heard that Cubans had done a lot of medical research using stem cells which has resulted in real scientific contributions. Is that true?
i’m sure it’s not THAT different than 5th Ave (i hate shopping) – there’s uber expensive boutiques, a few vintage stores, a really awesome cooking supply store, and some weird stores that sell inexpensive knick knacks.
it was surprisingly not very stressful (i usually freak out while shopping and end up buying the first thing i see just to get the fuck outta there)
The rehab story in yesterday’s WSJ was depressing and hilarious. Some spiky haird dude took US to the cleaners in 06-09. Millions on dubious massage theray scheme.

Every doctor in this country is wondering what the hell is going on with medicare/CMS.
The “doctor fix” bill is under another extension. Will congress cut doctor pay 20%?
Not likely unless they want doctors to flee en masse into an early retirement or into boutique pay for service practices.
Medicare is scheduled for insolvency by 2017,
that’s 6 years away now. :o(

they’re all relatively well known indie music acts.
just seems weird to have them on a billboard. just because someone has heard of a band doesn’t mean they necessarily know what the individual members look like.
