benson, you should scan them, or get them scanned, and put them on line. Then it’s easier to share them with different organizations. Lemme know if you need help.
donatella, that’s surprising. I’ve always had great experiences ordering from Harry & David. What’s your rush though? I mean, you still have 5 days until Christmas.
My father-in-law passed away a couple of years ago. He was a great photographer. We recently came upon a stash of photos he took of Manhattan and Brooklyn in the 40’s that are truly fantastic. When I get the time I’m going to see if some organization like the Brooklyn Historical Society would want them.
One other thing about my FIL: in addition to being a good photographer, he was incredibly vain. Almost half the photos he took were of himself. Hollywood gamour shots and such. My FIL was a good-looking guy in his day – he looked like he stepped out of a 1940’s film about NYC.
It just took me 25 minutes, 27 seconds to order a Harry and David gift basket.
What I needed to do was: Send a fresh fruit basket (fresh fruit only) to somebody before Thursday.
I swear to you, every word out of my mouth the guy repeated and he couldn’t tell me what fruit was available before Christmas. The only way I could get this was by a process of 20 questions, choosing things from the catalog and having him check (by repeating carefully the numbers). This is when my inner screaming lunatic hovers close to the surface. 25 minutes of my life on this.
DIBS, the UBS dress code document included instructions for what kind of underwear is appropriate for men and women.
