“Snappy, I just had to refill my Metro card and this idiot in front of me was having the same issues. I mad a comment as to how long it could possibly take.”
I HATE that shit. whenever you are in a hurry to buy some sort of ticket, there’s someone jerkoff in front of you that has obviously never operated a vending machine with a touch screen before.
ALWAYS happens when I’m in Penn Station trying to get a LIRR ticket.
I went to the post office in Seaford, LI for my dad last Saturday. There was NO LINE. However, despite what the postal employee told me, my dad has been in FL for 3 weeks and they have not forwarded any of his mail! Nor have they delivered it to his house in Seaford.

Anything to do with the DMV (at least in MA) can be done online. Luckily PA has “tag shops” where the people are really nice and friendly because it’s private enterprise and the nasty, bitchy, lazy, slow ones can get fired.
There should be a rule at the Post Office that if you have no freakin’ clue how to use the automated postal machine you shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the damned thing. Some people take so long figuring it out (and it’s quite simple…there aren’t many options) that standing in the regular line for live service is faster. The bastards.
Speaking of Chinese, last Friday I went to Andy’s on Montague St. for a quick dinner before going to this reading. I ordered sesame chicken. When it came it was just breaded chicken cutlets, sliced, with sesame sauce on top. Never again.
