WABC/Channel 7 weather babe Heidi Jones was arrested for perpetrating the ultimate snow job — falsely claiming to cops that a man had tried to rape her while she was jogging in Central Park, sources said yesterday.
Jones, who anchors the station’s weekend evening weather coverage and fills in on “Good Morning America,” was charged Monday with filing a false report, a Class A misdemeanor. If convicted, she could face up to a year in jail or a $1,000 fine.
WABC will announce on its noon newscast today that it is suspending her indefinitely, a spokesman said. Sources indicated that the move is the first step toward firing her.

I was thinking of you yesterday when my daughter was telling me about her responsibilities in her new position.
She is working for a small investment company that runs alot of trust funds for “old” money. One of her responsibilities is to wire money to folks when they request a withdrawl.
She said that often the folks in their 20’s for whom these trusts are set up call her to request money, and she becomes their “therapist”. They start off the conversation something like this: “Hello? Ummmm, this is Miss (insert trsutfunder name here). Well, I would like to withdraw $10,000. Look, I know that I shouldn’t be withdrawing this money for a ski vacation to Colorado, but I’ve had suuuuchhhhh a stressful year, you know what I mean?” And on it goes.
When my daughter was telling me this, the first word that came to my mind was “Moonface”! You’re getting to me, Rob.
