  1. Oh, and I know another one too….this is the friend who lives in Berkeley with her husband and they have no heat in their house in the winter time. The other one was living in CA too.

Rob, you would have a huge inheritance if you took my advice – ie go bag yourself a richie rich boyfriend

Bagging one is one thing. Keeping him after the first week or two is a different story altogether.

  3. I know a few trust funders. None of them very successful people, all living ok, but not fancy lives. One had to get a job recently to make ends meet with the wife’s spending habits. Another lives pretty much like I do, never really making more, or building up, just hanging out status quo.

  4. I’m glad they nailed Espada too and that that mauler Monserrat is out too. It is really sickening how these parasites feed off unsophicated, poor people who they are elected to help.

  5. One woman I used to know had a trust fund. Not that this is some categorical statement about trustfunders, but she had just enough money to live very very badly. She depended on it, didn’t achieve anything professionally, was very disorganized in her life. However, she didn’t have to worry about being destitute, she just had the lifestyle of a destitute person.

Separately, once when I was complaining to my father after getting laid off once….I was saying something about “living in a refrigerator box in the subway….and he said to me…

“Donatella…..if worse comes to worse” he said to me with fatherly warmth and kindness…..looking sincerely into my eyes……

“I find that General Electric makes a great box”
