ah okay then, my bad. i usually try my hardest not to deal with customer service techs on the phone with anything electronics related for the reasons you stated. they are useless (tho who wouldnt be getting paid 2 dollars an hour like they do), so i try to google around the answers.
wait, snappy, i think i have a card that came with my computer from best buy where you can call and get one free question answered on anything technical (weird).. if you cant figure it out ill find the card. it’s for the geek squad i think? so it wouldnt just be some random floor person or someone from overseas who probably doesnt know to talk to black women like me and you.
snappy- it refers to the size of the port opening the cable plugs into. My cell phone has a 3.5 mm port but the special hearing assisted earplug i got has a 2.5 plug rendering it useless to me. 🙂 The cable you buy has to have a plug that fits a 3.5mm port hole.
CGar, we’ll know for sure when I meet these suspected folks cause I remember the faces I saw at Loki – ie hey hey, you were sitting / standing… but why didnt you intro’d yourself

There are lots of cables that have a 3.5mm plug on the end. Not sufficient info.
