  1. “I would like to see Assange brought to book for Wikileaks, but the sexual abuse case against him described in the Drudge link sounds weak.”

yeah – having unprotected sex with strangers is a crime in sweden? note to self: never go to sweden.

  2. “Assange busted because he didn’t wear condoms during one night stands – sabotaged them, also according to Drudge.”

I would like to see Assange brought to book for Wikileaks, but the sexual abuse case against him described in the Drudge link sounds weak.

  3. Crap, I forgot about the phase-out of incandescent lighting.

I’ve been trying to convince a friend of mine in historic preservation who is now a stay at home mom to mount a huge campaign to save them.

But if that doesn’t work, who wants to help me start an illegal lightbulb factory in my house in the ghetto? We can also create out own music label and rap about our illegal activities.

  4. My lung function is still very good but I have other problems. The irritation to sinuses have given me lots of ear infections so now my ear drums are scarred ( adding additional hearing loss). They’re also keeping an eye on my bloodwork as there are some small abnormalities. My ex-boss has had to have surgery for sinus growths and his lung capacity has been compromised.

  5. We don’t know yet. I never remember Andrew blaming anything on working there, but I do have friends who blame a hangnail on their work down there. Those DSNY guys never got the attention they deserved- many of them worked on their off days and holidays to help. They handled the most horrible stuff and never complained. They were the ones hauling the debris off the Pile. Yet when it came time for the closing ceremony, Bloomie didn’t want them to march with the rest of the agencies being honored. A lot of us protested and they did march.

That’s a little like Al Capone getting busted for tax evasion. Great. I am glad that worm is busted.

Lech, re Yoko Ono, she has an “installation” at MOMA. In the central atrium (there is a central atrium around which 4 floors are organized) through which Yoko Ono has a sound show continuously taped. It is people screaming. It is like a car alarm. Just when you get some regularity to it to tune it out it changes. Only it is SCREAMING. Human voices screaming in horrible jolting ways. So you get to
see the show on Abstract Expressionism all the while listening to Yoko Ono’s screaming tapes.

The guards said they are on the verge of losing their minds.

    That’s Yoko Ono.
