donatella- I saw Fellini’s, “La Strada” a couple of times. It is sad, but with *great acting* (and deep, poetic multiple meanings I cannot pretend to understand). Do you remember that the woman who plays Gelsomina was Fellini’s real-life wife? She was described then as Chaplin-esque. Apparently, she and Fellini were married all of their adult lives – no divorces, etc.
Not to distract from crafting the business plan for an illegal light bulb factory(I’m in!), but if you’d consider supporting the quick creation of additional K-6 classrooms in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill and you live in the area, please check out this petition.
If not, no worries. People can’t agree on everything. But this would be for a neighborhood public school not a charter school. The two schools sharing the building now work well together, and have jointly raised big bucks to improve the common facilities. There are some legitimate risks, but when you’re talking about people who can raise $375,000 to fix up the auditorium and playground, things like overcrowded lunchrooms and a need for more middle-school classes down the line seem like solvable problems.
But if that doesn’t work, who wants to help me start an illegal lightbulb factory in my house in the ghetto? We can also create out own music label and rap about our illegal activities.”
