Question for the pasty Brit: Which nation’s diplomats are you referring to with approval as “our” diplomats?
My evolving take is that the damage is largely going forward — loss of contacts, loss of cooperation, and more circling the wagons and less inter-agency intelligence sharing. We are more likely to have an intelligence failure in the future. Few damaging revelations about our past. Most damaging so far to us diplomatically is that both Bush and Obama administrations adopted traceable policies of spying at the UN.
The unstated domestic political angle is, imho, if Obama was who the right-wing commentariat has been saying he is (cough beck cough), surely somewhere amongst a quarter of a million diplomatic cables we’d see some signs of an anti-colonial, aggressively socialist international agenda. The fact that these guys are screaming about beheading Assange and not, as far as I know, about how Obama’s been advancing US diplomatic interests abroad, speaks volumes to me.
So, anyone else following Dave’s generous lead and will be bringing more than one gift for the tots? Please? Thanks 🙂

Rob, not that I advocate one pooch munching on another, you do realize that in that type of situation, you would not be at fault if your dog bit the other dog, right? Her fault 100%
