I never killed fireflies. I would always let them go.
I actually feel somewhat strongly about not killing living things without good reason. Not sure why, I can’t really articulate a reason for it, I just do. Eating them is good reason. So it making it safe to fly over NYC.
i used to catch lightning bugs, mash them up, and paint with the mush. i dont know if that’s cruel or not 🙁 i dont consider it since i guess they were just bugs.
I tried making gunpowder as a kid, but I kept making it wrong and it never really blew up all that well. So I got frustrated and figured I would try to blow up the primer on a shotgun shell with a hammer and nail instead. I still have a scar from that.

Our Irish setter regularly humped neighborhood dogs – he didn’t care what sex his partners were.
Yes, that’s cruel, rob.
My brother & I made gunpowder w/ a Gilbert Chem Set I got for Xmas. He had a scar on his stomach for years from where his tee shirt caught fire.

I never put a firecracker in a frog’s mouth. I’ve never killed animals for fun. For food, yes, but do it humanely. Not for fun.

Fire crackers in frogs mouths is another fun pastime.
Hmmm…usually litter mates tend to be close. Perhaps your cats are a bit ‘fabulous!’
