In my college days the professors I knew lived mostly in the Burlington suburbs. Their houses were very nice without being ridiculous. In Maine i see houses listed for sale, super pricey. Knowing what I know I don’t get the appeal. Privacy and comfort can be had for half a mil up there.
I would never invest. Let the money gain interest in the bank, buy an $800k frame house in Greenwood Heights, and sit back. Why risk the $$$ with investments? You’d be able to live nicely off the interest off that 14mill while it sits in the bank!
Yes to getting up at the crack of dawn – I haven’t been sleeping well/much lately, and the CDog never lets me sleep past 6am – but defintely no to any shopping.
Not that 14mill isn’t a lot of scratch, but if all you have is 14mill, why the hell would you buy a multi-million dollar anything???? Seems super foolish.
Very expensive houses on a lot of land in the Burlington suburbs, jester. Also in towns like Woodstock. And some multi-million dollar ski houses at places like Stratton too.
Did any of you get up at the butt crack of dawn and hit the Black Friday sales? I looked at several ads yesterday and it seems that this year there were really no awesome deals being advertised.

They probably thought so too. This is why you need a financial planner.

Snappy, if I had $14 million, I’d retire. I might buy myself another Brownstone with a couple of million of that, and invest the rest.

“I was talking to our Christian commenters.”
LOL, dave. I thought yours was a secular post.
“Most Jews love Christmas more than Christians do.”
Yep. I have more Christmas music than most goyim. And I have quite a few Christmas ornaments too.
