I like the art supplies gift idea, but I also like gift cards for clothes. I imagine these kids aren’t clothes shopping much, and a nice new pair of jeans, a sweater, socks, etc. in winter is useful.
DIBS, You can go into pretty much any art supply store and find a water color or tempura set, pad of appropriate paper, colored pencils, brushes, etc., etc. The art store at kane & Court has tons, and so do regular toy stores.
Argh!!
I hear Massengill is the go-to product for refreshing.

you know how awful it felt getting art supplies for a gift when you’re an art-class reject?
does your end need refreshing?
Did I break this thing or is it just not refreshing on my end?
Dave, just go and pick out some tubes of paint, brushes and canvas and put it in a gift bag. Searching for a ready-made set will drive you nuts.
