“Charlie’s constituents don’t care – they love him.”

This is why there should be some basic intelligence test before people are allowed to vote.

I thought that too when the US re-elected George Bush.

  2. DIBS, I feel ok-ish, thanks. It’s not how I feel right now so much, although that’s part of it. It’s that my sinus is perpetually effed up and I have some other issues. The cat is prolly part but not the whole story. Doc and I are trying to figure it out.

  3. “Charlie’s constituents don’t care – they love him.”

He’s been instrumental in getting a lot of federal money for redevelopment in Harlem, as well as for some city and state projects. The mess they’re bringing him up on isn’t worth all the attention it’s getting. Until we see evidence of kick backs/pay for play and extortion, I don’t see his constituents caring all that much.

  4. Rangle will get a rap on the knuckles. Looks like a loon complaining how he couldn’t find a lawyer blah, blah, blah. His constituents will soon realize he doesn’t have the power to sell girl scout cookies because he is damaged goods.

  5. I like Charlie, too. But people in positions for a long time seem to take liberties. I don’t think he should be expelled. He’s a good guy, he’s done a lot of good work/service, and he won’t be in there for much longer. I think penalties would be enough.
