Commodities are getting absolutely pummelled. The news is that Chinese inflation was way above expectations 4.4% and the gov’t imposed greater capital requirements on the 6 biggest banks — taking about 30B of liquidity out of the banking system. This is after their stimulus package. The Chinese are the 800 lb gorillas in the commodity markets and it’s a hard super cold shower on a markets that have been on a tear. It is ugly, very ugly and I am having a horrible week. It is almost over…..
Yes, he could easily fit inside. the urinals are ceramic, almost 5′ high. The doors on the stalls are those swinging types, quarter sawn oak and only about 2 1/2′ high. The ceiling was stained glass and oak panelled.
All in all, a great glimpse into bathrooms of the late 19th century.

As I walked through the first floor bar on the way to the men’s room, there were a lot of unescorted women who were well into their liquid lunches. That wouldn’t have been allowed when this place opened in the 1800s.
