I imagine that today, sort of early, like in an hour and a half, I will quietly leave this office and walk to Grand Central…someone will get out of the way so I can get on the train going home and then I will be greeted by a train full of smiling and silent people. The beggers and the bloviators will pick another car and I will silently and happily read my book all the way to Fulton Street. There I will go down the stairs and noone will push me and the C train will come right away. I will sit down and peacefully make my way home. I will go home and have a nice dinner and I will watch a Masterpiece Mystery DVD and then this day….
