On the economy from our economist…Q4 & Q1 consumption should be good. Not only was the Oct payroll number good but the Sept number was revised up significantly. Hiring was strong in retail, temp, educ & health.
A 10% increase in stock prices is worth +0.3% to 0.7% in consumption expenditures…just in time for the holidays it would seem.

Wow, Pete. I went through some kind of Laura Nyro craze when I was a teenager. I think I know the lyrics to every song she ever wrote since I listened to those records over and over. What a fabulous song writer… I heard her in a concert though and I was highly PO’d. She only played for 45 minutes, very blase, wandered off…. She was a big time druggie, junkie I think, she was probably stoned out of her mind that night and just couldn’t finish. Incredibly talented woman though. She sang freaky stuff and then all that stuff for the 5th Dimension was hers.
